Currently we will offer the KWPN, Friesian, and OTTB breed programs with awards. Holly Hagen is organizing a PRE award. Please reach out to Holly directly if you are showing a PRE or see her FB post about this program. Please remember to review the breed requirements as most, if not all, require the rider and owner be members of the breed association and the horse be registered.
Safe Sport:
All USEF members over 18 years are reminded that they need to complete the Safe Sport training within 30 days of renewing their USEF membership and prior to competing at their first USEF recognized show. Riders and horse owners are required to complete the training. It takes approximately 2 1/2 hours to complete the three part training. USEF and show managers are reporting the number one error they are seeing are the horse owners having not completed the training. Show results earned while not in compliance will not count toward any organization award or qualification programs.
Reno Chapter:
This wasn't an item on the chapter agenda but an action that took place on Tuesday. The decision has been made to close the Reno Chapter and move its membership to the SN Chapter. The Reno Chapter is one of the oldest chapters in the history of CDS. Please welcome our new members to the SN Chapter.
Meeting adjourned: 7:40 PM

The October show netted $1448.43. As a contribution to the show, Connie our show secretary, reduced her fee by $110. We need to vote to determine how much of the show income should be sent to the Stacey Berry Memorial Dressage Scholarship Fund which is now managed by CDS.
The civil war reenactment event that took place at Bower's Mansion had moved to our show date from a later weekend the previous few years. Tentatively, it is scheduled for 10/24/20, the weekend after our 2020 October show. As this is a tentative change, the State Park Ranger will notify FM and SNC if the group that organizes the event decides to hold to 10/17/20.
