Juniors Needed to Help
On February 4th there will be an inventory taken of all of the supplies for next years show season. This will include ribbons, junior ribbons and Tests. Juniors are asked to volunteer to assist with this project. It will be done on February 4th at Avalon Friesians. The address is 6505 Bonde Ln, Reno. Calling all Show Managers
We are still seeking a Director of Shows for 2006. If you have any interest in the position please contact Beth at curle@mindspring.com and she can explain what will be involved.
2005-Awards Banquet and Celebration
The awards banquet will be held on March 10th, 2006 at the Tamarack Junction Casino, South Reno. A "Walking Appetizer" menu will be served and there will be a no host bar. Come along and spend some time with your fellow members and support the achievements of our juniors and amateurs.
Cost is $15/person. Please RSVP lgrove@tamarackcasino.com by March 1st, 2006.
2006 Amateur Clinic
The northern CDS Amateur Clinic will be held June 8-11, at Lilo Fore's Sport Horse America stable. Lilo Fore will be the clinician. The clinic format starts with an introductory lecture session the evening prior to the first day of the clinic and three days of riding sessions. SNC-CDS club members interested in attending the amateur clinic as our club representative needs to submit a written application of intent to Beth Coffey-Curle (curle@mindspring.com ) by April 1, 2006. At the April SNC monthly meeting, the names of all applicants will be placed into a hat and a rider and alternate will be drawn out.
Annual Meeting
Cindy Hoonhout has volunteered to go to the CDS Annual Meeting again this year to represent the chapter. Thank you so much to Cindy for doing this… again!
2006 Show Calendar
The 2006 SNC Show calendar has been sent off to CDS for posting in the Omnibus. Mary Anne Christensen and Susan Ward have been hard at work lining up judges and facilities for our upcoming show season. The calendar is as follows:
- April 22nd & 23rd. Franktown Meadows. Judge - Fran Dearing
- July 8th & 9th. Franktown Meadows. Judge - Sue Mandis
- August 26th & 27th. *** Franktown Meadows. Judge - Donna Richardson
2006 USDF Instructor Certification
Ellie Kennedy is organizing the 2006 Instructor Certifications for Regions 7. Below is the Workshop and Testing Schedule.
USDF Instructor Certification workshops and testing will be held at Riverside Equestrian Center in Petaluma, CA in 2006. This is currently the only series of workshops, pre-certification and testing scheduled in Region 7 for 2006.
- April 1-2, 2006: Lunging Workshop
- May 20-21, 2006: Riding Workshop
- June 17-18, 2006: Teaching Workshop
- July 14-16, 2006: Pre-Certification
Testing will be scheduled sometime in September.

Christiane Noëlting Clinic dates for 2006
Price is $110. Location: Franktown Meadows
Coordinators are sought to coordinate scheduling for any particular month. For 7 paid rides in a day, the coordinator receives a $38 credit. Each paid ride after 7 paid rides results in an additional credit of $15 for the coordinator. Each day of the clinic operates the same way. The coordinator is in charge of Christiane's lunches and her dinner Saturday night. Joan Wright will house her and give her breakfast. If you are interested in coordinating give Joan a call at 882-9070.

Education
The next chapter meeting will be conducted in conjunction with a Pilates class. It is tentatively scheduled for February 9th, meeting at 6:30 pm and Pilates at 7pm. Look out for further details in the near future.

A scribe and scoring training session
April 15th a scribe and scoring training session is being planned at Avalon Fresians. Volunteer riders are needed from 1st level upwards. Please contact Jaki Hardy jakihardy@yahoo.com.
